These strong, almost circular, 3 dimensional discs are covered with intricate spiral designs originally woven with thin gold wire. The original pre-Columbian piece, located in Colombia's Gold Museum, was probably worn as a nose ornament. These smaller 24K gold plated reproductions make an elegant statement as earrings today as the original piece did in its time. This recreation is handcrafted by artisans in Colombia, South America.
